Donner's Debriefing
"This was a much-improved meet for our men compared to Colgate two weeks ago," said head coach Kevin Donner. "This was exactly what I wanted to see from our men. We handled the longer race well. It is always nice to win a meet, but I was also pleased with our competitors as we had to work for the win. We experimented going out a little faster than normal to see how we would handle the transition of settling in, and I thought most of our guys did a nice job at it. Didden held back a little bit early on to keep our other top guys together but at the four-mile mark, he just pulled away and looked good doing it."
Recap
Sophomore Henry Didden, after finishing second at the Harry Lang Invitational, captured his first cross country victory, finishing with a time of 24:19.4. He led the second-place runner by nearly eight seconds.Â
For the second week in a row, sophomore Grayson Crockett was the number two runner for Bucknell. Crockett broke into the top five, placing fourth (24:35.0).Â
Trent Dinant joined his fellow sophomores in the top ten, collecting sixth place (24.39.7), finishing 22 spots higher than at the Lang Invitational.Â
Peter Sorensen and Mason Siebenhaar rounded out the Bucknell scorers, placing eighth (24:50.4) and ninth (24:50.8)Â to put all Bucknell talliers in the top ten.Â
Senior Christian Cadmus narrowly missed the top ten by placing 11th (24:54.8).Â
Freshman Hayden Singer led all first-year runners with his 23rd-place finish (25.19.7).Â
