Wisdom Named GCAA All-America Scholar; Men’s Golf Team Cited as All-Academic Squad

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Recent Bucknell graduate Blake Wisdom has been named to the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) All-America Scholars team. Wisdom, who posted the lowest career scoring average in Bucknell men's golf history, made the GCAA squad after meeting the requirement of a minimum 3.2 grade-point average and a stroke average under 76.0.
As a team, the Bison also made the GCAA All-Academic Team honor roll after posting a 3.41 combined GPA in the spring semester.
Wisdom cleared those benchmarks by a wide margin, posting a 72.3 average in 2022-23 while maintaining a 3.62 GPA in economics. Wisdom was previously named to the Academic All-Patriot League Team and the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, and last spring he received the Bradley N. Tufts Award for exceptional athletic achievement and contribution to Bucknell Athletics.
On the course, Widsom tallied nine under-par rounds last year, including four 67s, and had four top-10 finishes. Wisdom had a career-low round of 66 at the UNC Greensboro Martin Downs Collegiate in 2020, and his 73.49 career scoring average is the new Bucknell standard.
