Loew and Quinn Earn All-Academic Patriot League Laurels

LEWISBURG, Pa.- The Bucknell Bison women's track & field witnessed two student-athletes, Katherine Loew and Meghan Quinn, awarded spots on the All-Academic Patriot League team.Â
Loew, a mathematical economics major, continued her perfection in the classroom by posting a flawless GPA during the fall semester to keep her pristine 4.00 GPA. Loew shined during the Patriot League Outdoor Championship as part of the second-place 4x400-meter relay squad. During the 2023 season, her 4x400-meter relay team earned the top spot in Bucknell history, and she is currently sixth all-time in the 400-meter dash for the Bison.Â
Quinn, a psychology major, dominated the fall semester with a 4.00 GPA to raise her cumulative mark to 3.83. Quinn had a spring campaign that went down in Bucknell's history. She set the program record for the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes. She established two more Bucknell records as a member of the 4x100-meter and 4x400-meter relay teams. At the Patriot League Outdoor Championships, she won the 100-meter dash and assisted in the 4x100-meter relay team striking gold. She earned silver in the 200-meter dash and as a member of the 4x400-meter relay team. Those four top-flight finishes earned her Women's Highest Point Scorer.Â
The Bison women's track & field season isn't complete yet, as the program has two members competing in the NCAA Eastern Preliminaries, Brylee Tereska (javelin) and Karen Hull (high jump).Â
