RESULTS
PHOENIX, Md. – Michael Rudnick paced the Bucknell golf team with a 1-over-par 73 in the second round of the Patriot League Championship on Saturday at Hillendale Country Club, and the Bison fell one spot into fifth place after posting a team score of 299.
After a brutal weather day for Friday's opening round, scoring conditions were a bit better on Saturday, and Colgate vaulted into the lead after compiling a 289. The Raiders have a 36-hole total of 597, one better than second-place Lehigh. Holy Cross is in third at 607, followed by Loyola (609), Bucknell (614), Navy (618), Army (620), and Lafayette (625).
Freshman Andres Barraza followed Rudnick with a 74, and the Bison also counted Jack Gardner's 75 and Blake Wisdom's 77. Jackson Bussell and James Key both shot 79.
Gardner is the low Bison on the individual leaderboard, sitting in a tie for 14th place with a 36-hole total of 154.
Yuxuan Song of Lehigh fired a 2-under 70 in round two, and at 2-over for the tournament he has a one-shot lead over Army's John Heckel Jr. Colgate's Dugan McCabe and Robbie Herzig are tied for third at 4-over.
The third and final round is slated for Sunday morning. Due to the threat of more inclement weather, the final round will be played in twosomes starting with an 8 a.m. shotgun. Bucknell will be paired up with Navy, starting on holes 10-14.
