Holtschlag Shares First Place as Men’s Golf Concludes Upstate Battle

RESULTS
HAMILTON, N.Y. – Josh Holtschlag posted a 1-under-par 71 on Sunday and earned a share of first place at the three-team Upstate Battle, hosted by Colgate at Seven Oaks Golf Club. The Bison shot 304 as a team for a 36-hole total of 607 and finished behind Colgate (589) and St. Bonaventure (597).
Holtschlag's 71 followed an opening-round 74, and he and Colgate's Robbie Herzig were co-medalists with a 1-over 145 for the tournament. Erik Stauderman of St. Bonaventure placed third at 147.
Holtschlag made three birdies on the day and shot a 2-under 34 on the back nine. James Robbins eagled the par-5 fifth hole on the way to a front-nine 34, and he went on to finish with a 74. Jake Maddaloni shot 79 and Max Orwicz 80 to round out the Bison quartet. Michael Rudnick was unable to go on Sunday after shooting 74 in the first round.
Bucknell's top group spent the weekend preparing for the Patriot League Championship, which gets underway on Friday at Hillendale Country Club in Phoenix, Md.
