RESULTS
HAMILTON, N.Y. – The Bucknell men's golf team sent a five-man team to the Upstate Battle, a small three-team event hosted by Colgate at Seven Oaks Golf Club. With some players who have not seen as much tournament action throughout the season on the course, the Bison opened the 36-hole tournament with a round of 303 on Saturday.
Michael Rudnick and Josh Holtschlag both posted 2-over-par 74s. Jake Maddaloni followed with a 75, including a 1-under 35 on the front nine, and James Robbins and Max Orwicz both shot 80.
Rudnick made five birdies on the day, while Holtschlag made three. They are tied for fifth place in a field of 25 players. Colgate's Wyatt Peterson and St. Bonaventure's Erik Stauderman both shot 72 to sit atop the leaderboard.
Colgate and St. Bonaventure both have two squads entered. The Raiders' top unit compiled a 297, while the Bonnies matched Bucknell with a 303.
The tournament concludes on Sunday.
