Women's Tennis to Host Lafayette in Regular Season Finale Sunday

Bucknell at a Glance
• The Bucknell women's tennis team wraps up its regular season at home Sunday against Lafayette. Bucknell is 11-12 (3-3 PL) following its 5-2 victory over Colgate last weekend.
• The Bison have collected Patriot League wins over Loyola, Lehigh and Colgate. Their league losses are to the top three teams in the standings.
• Whitney King was an honorable mention for Patriot League player of the Week on Tuesday after going 2-0 at No. 1 doubles and 1-0 at No. 1 singles last week.
• Bucknell went 12-10 (3-3 PL) during the 2021-22 season, securing its highest win total since 2018-19. The Bison ended up falling to Loyola in the quarterfinal round of the Patriot League Championships, 4-2.
• The Bison graduated their lone All-Patriot Leaguer, Daniela Bellini, in the spring. They welcomed two freshmen in the fall and entered the spring season with eight total on the roster.
• Juniors Kate Novak and Tyne Miller are serving as team captains this season.
• Bucknell played its first seven matches of the spring on the road before hosting its first home match on Feb. 19. The Bison will play just one of their final four at home.
• Bucknell is under the direction of fourth-year head coach Tammy Cecchini. She was previously the head coach at Valparaiso from 2015 to 2018 and spent the 2014-15 season with Valpo as an assistant coach.

Lafayette at a Glance
• Lafayette is 5-11 (1-4 PL) with its lone league win being over Holy Cross on March 26. The Leopards have dropped each of their last five matches, including 4-0 losses to Loyola and Villanova last weekend.
• Lafayette returned its lone All-Patriot League selection from last season, sophomore Olivia Boeckman, who posted a 6-9 record playing primarily at No. 1 singles and an 8-7 mark in doubles action in 2021-22.
• Lafayette reached the Patriot League quarterfinals a year ago, defeating Holy Cross in the first round before falling to Boston U.
• Bucknell leads 30-17-1 in the all-time series with Lafayette, including a 4-3 win on the road last season.
