
Women's Tennis Downs Colgate on the Road, 5-2

HAMILTON, N.Y. – The Bucknell women's tennis team wrapped up the weekend with a 5-2 victory over Colgate Sunday afternoon, improving to 3-3 in league play with the win.
The Bison swept the doubles point and took four in singles. It was freshman Abby Platt's 6-2, 4-6, 6-1 win over Colgate's Jordan Ben-Shmuel at No. 4 singles that clinched the match. Platt was also a winner at No. 1 doubles, teaming up with Whitney King for a 6-3 decision. Platt and King improved to 5-0 against Patriot League teams in doubles.
Tyne Miller and Anna Lajos collected a 6-1 win at No. 2 doubles, and Caroline Marcus joined Madi Sebulsky for a 6-1 win at No. 3 doubles.
The Bison also picked up wins at the top two singles positions. King and Lajos both pulled out three-set victories, and Marcus secured a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 6 singles.
Bucknell has won two of its last three matches against league opponents. It wraps up the regular season on Sunday, April 23 with a home match against Lafayette.
