
Women's Tennis Falls on the Road at Army, 4-0

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Whitney King and Abby Platt secured another win at the No. 1 doubles position, but Army ultimately defeated the Bucknell women's tennis team 4-0 on Saturday.
King and Platt are now 12-4 in doubles play together, including a 4-0 mark against Patriot League opponents. The pair defeated Army's Cooper Jackson and Paige Herremans 6-4 in Saturday's dual.
The Black Knights went on to clinch the double point, however, with a 6-3 win at No. 2 and a 6-2 win at No. 3. Army then picked up three consecutive wins at No. 3, 4 and 5 singles to clinch the match.
Bucknell had taken the first set in the three other singles matches, which each went unfinished. King was leading 6-3, 4-4 at No. 1 singles, Lajos was leading 7-6 (4), 1-0 at No. 2 singles, and Caroline Marcus was leading 6-2, 2-1 at No. 6 singles.
Bucknell plays its final road contest of the regular season on Sunday at Colgate. The match is scheduled to begin at noon.
