Men's Track & Field in Fourth after First Day of Colonial Relays

WILLIAMSBURG, Pa.- The Bucknell Bison men's track & field team currently sits in fourth place after the first day of the Colonial Relays. The Bison have 36 points and are within striking distance of second place.

Results

"Both teams are sitting pretty in the team scoring with many potential points coming tomorrow," said head coach Kevin Donner. "Meghan Quinn was setting school records every time she touched a track, and she was on fire today. Our male field event athletes had great days and scored some nice points. I loved seeing our female javelin throwers go second and third. We had many PRs, and IC4A/ECAC qualifiers from many of our runners were nice. We have all six relays entered tomorrow to flex our depth and have some fun. Overall, it was a great day one."

Brandon Foust ran his way into the Bucknell record books. He finished ninth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.73. His speed tied him 10th all-time in Bucknell history.

Foust notched another top-ten finish by obtaining ninth place in the 200-meter dash with his time of 21.91.

Jeffrey Cianfrocca placed second in the high jump with a leap of 6-02.25.

Franco Perinotti earned bronze in the 110-meter hurdles when he raced for a mark of 16.76.

Tristan An obtained fourth place in the high jump invitational with a mark of 6-06.00.

Two Bison throwers finished in the top five for the javelin invite. Trevor Drescher tabbed fourth (170-00) and James Riedinger landed fifth (166-07).

Samuel Whittaker picked up from where his strong indoor season left off with a fifth-place finish in the 5000-meter run off a time of 14:20.48.

Ben Santos finished fifth in the 5000-meter run with a time of 14:47.67.

The Bison obtained another top ten finish in the 3000-meter Steeplechase with Noah Martin's placement of sixth. His time of 9:18.27 grabbed the result.

Matt Federovich leaped to a seventh-place finish in the long jump with a mark of 22-02.25.
