LEWISBURG, Pa- Meghan Quinn was named Bison of the Week Monday after her brilliant performances at the Patriot League Indoor Track & Field Championships. Quinn collected two silver medals, set a school record in the 200 Meter Dash, improved upon her second all-time mark in the 60 Meter Dash, participated in a record-setting relay team, notched three ECAC qualifications, and earned 22 points for the Bison.
Quinn broke the Bucknell school record in the 200 Meter Dash with a time of 24.23. She blew past the old mark of 24.37 set by Jess Bridle in 2016. It also beat her personal best time of 24.68 by 0.45 seconds. The time placed her second at the event, won ECAC certification, and gave the Bison eight points.
The sprinter did not halt there. She finished second in the 60 Meter Dash by racing 7.56. The time was a 0.07-second improvement on her personal best time of 7.63, which was second in the Bucknell record book but is now replaced by Quinn's 2023 output. Once again, Quinn unlocked ECAC qualification and contributed eight points to the Bison's coffers.
Quinn completed the meet by teaming up with Katherine Loew, Jessie Castellano, and Bridget Lalonde to finish third in the 4x400 Meter Relay. The quartet ran a time of 3:44.99, which gained the Bison six points, and the foursome third place in the Bison record book, along with an ECAC bid.
Quinn and other qualifying teammates will compete this weekend at the ECAC Championships.
