Overview
- Last time out, the Bison men placed fourth at the Patriot League Championships, as in 2022.Â
- Sophomore Henry Didden continued his leading-the-herd mentality by repeating as the highest-placed Bison. Didden finished 22nd (25:38.9), only missing the top 20 by three seconds. Didden placed 47th at the Championships in 2022.Â
- Junior Peter Sorensen grabbed 24th place (25:46.3) to become the second-best Bison scorer. Sorensen did not compete for the Bison in last year's Championships.Â
- Less than a second behind Sorensen was his fellow junior Bobby Lynam with his time of 25:47.1. Lynam's time granted him 25th place, one slot lower than in 2022.Â
- Junior Ben Santos finished 28th (25:58.0). He did not replicate his 16th-place finish in 2022, but his 2023 slot ensured Bucknell would edge the rival Mountain Hawks for fourth.Â
- Senior Christian Cadmus completed his Patriot League Championships career with a 29th-place finish (26:02.2). Cadmus displayed marked improvement when he finished 62nd and was 28 seconds slower.Â
- Bucknell previously competed at the Goodman Course during the Paul Short Run on Sept. 30. The Bison are banking on prior course experience to provide an edge. The Bison finished 31st at the Paul Short Run.Â
- The Orange & Blue finished 23rd at the 2022 Mid-Atlantic Regionals. Lynam is Bucknell's highest-returning finisher (63rd). Didden placed 106th, and Santos grabbed 110th.Â
- The race will be 10k in length.Â
- Three Patriot League men's cross country squads are among the top 15 in the Mid-Atlantic Region according to the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) regional rankings, released on Oct. 30. The Navy men are fourth after winning the Patriot League title. Bucknell is ranked 13th, while Lehigh checks in at 15.Â
The Bison will compete for the national championship or await the 2024 season.Â
