
Men's Cross Country Places 12th at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals

LEWISBURG, Pa.- The Bucknell Bison men's cross country team ended the 2023 season finishing 12th at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals. The Bison collected 348 points, placing three points behind Rutgers. Navy earned fifth to top Bucknell as the highest-finishing Patriot League squad. The Orange & Blue improved 11 spots from its 2022 result of 23rd.Â

Junior Bobby Lynam stepped up and became the Bison's best runner, finishing 52nd (31:03.2). Like the team, Lynam improved 11 slots above his 2022 output.Â
Fellow junior Ben Santos had an impressive race, grabbing 71st (31:24.9). Santon displayed marked improvement from 2022 by jumping 39 spots.Â
Grayson Crockett added to the junior jamboree with his 72nd-place finish (31:25.3). Crockett was right on Santos' tail, coming in only 0.4 seconds behind his classmate.Â
Sophomore Mason Siebenhaar broke up the junior class' streak by finishing 75th (31:33.2). It was a strong display of running from the promising second-year runner.Â
Junior Peter Sorensen rounded out the Bison scoring effort. Sorensen placed 78th (31:37.9).Â
Princeton won the event with 41 points. Villanova finished second with 73 points, just ahead of Georgetown's tally of 77. Nova had the first and second-place runners, but their final three scorers ranked in the 20s.Â

Since the Bison did not qualify for the NCAA National Championships, they will train and await the 2024 campaign.Â
