SHAMOKIN DAM, Pa. – Bucknell and Fordham got together for some early-November racing on the Susquehanna River on a sunny fall afternoon on Saturday, and a victory in the Varsity Four highlighted some good performances for the Bison.

The V4+, coxed by Molly Garrahy and powered by Caroline Corbett, Victoria Miller-Tuchon, Morgan Brill, and Campbell Coonley, rowed to a near-nine-second victory over the Rams' A boat. The Bison finished in 6:57.77, well ahead of Fordham's 7:06.55.

In the Varsity Eight, Fordham edged Bucknell by just over two seconds, and the Rams also captured the Second Varsity Eight by nine seconds.

Bucknell had three Novice 8 entries, and all three finished in front of Fordham's Novice 8. The Bison Novice A blazed the course in 6:15.73.

Bucknell will race at home again next Saturday. The Bison will square off with Villanova at 9 a.m. and Lehigh at 3 p.m.
