Bucknell Women at a Glance
• Bucknell's women are 1-1 on the season following a 201-99 win at Holy Cross and a narrow 157-143 loss at Boston U. The Bison also competed at the Bucknell Fall Invite two weeks ago.
• Junior diver Meghan Catherwood was named Patriot League Female Diver of the Week last week, becoming the first on the women's side to collect a weekly award this season. Catherwood has placed first once, second once and third two times this season.
• At the Fall Invite, Bucknell finished first in four events and went 1-2-3 in the 200 backstroke.
• Bucknell returned three All-Patriot League honorees this season: Abby Doss (2023 2nd Team, 2022 1st Team), Esme Hunter (2022 & 2023 2nd Team), Caroline McGann (2023 2nd Team).
• The Bison lost three-time All-Patriot League honoree and six-time Patriot League medalist Sabrina Vumbacco as well as three-time All-Patriot League honoree and one-time Patriot League medalist Catherine Craig to graduation last spring.
• Doss is Bucknell's lone school record holder on the roster. She set the 200 breaststroke standard at the 2021 Bucknell Invite.
• Bucknell finished the 2022-23 season 6-2 (5-2 PL) and placed third at the Patriot League Championships with 503 points. The Bison went on to take second at the ECAC Championships, and Catherwood competed at the 2023 NCAA Zone Diving Championships.
• Bucknell is 36-6 in dual meets since the start of the 2018-19 campaign.
• Seniors Hunter, Kayla Lichtner and Grace Kujawski are serving as team captains this season.

• Bucknell's men's team is off to a 2-0 start to the season following a 186-112 win at Holy Cross and a 173.5-124.5 win at Boston U. The Bison also competed at the Bucknell Fall Invite two weeks ago.
• Bucknell won four events at the Fall Invite and finished runners-up in seven events. The Bison posted three program top-10 diving performances. Jack Krug recorded the fifth-best 1-meter score (283.7) and the eighth-best 3-meter score (290.30) in school history. First-year Connor Thurston recorded the fourth-best 3-meter score (300.55).
• Senior John Gehrig and sophomore diver Jackson Vinarub have both earned Patriot League weekly awards this season.
• Bucknell returned five All-Patriot League honorees: Justin DiSanto (2023 & 2022 2nd Team), Andy Dorsel (2022 1st Team, 2023 2nd Team), Chris Fabian (2022 1st Team, 2023 2nd Team), Gehrig (2023 & 2022 1st Team), Chris Kopac (2022 1st Team & 2023 2nd Team).
• The Bison lost two-time All-Patriot League honoree and three-time Patriot League medalist Leo Kuyl to graduation. Kuyl set both the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle school records in 2023.
• Bucknell returned three school record holders: Kopac (200 freestyle), Fabian (100 butterfly) and Gehrig (200 butterfly, 200 IM).
• Bucknell finished the 2022-23 season 6-2 (5-2 PL) and placed third at the Patriot League Championships with 538.5 points. The Bison went on to take second at the ECAC Championships.
• Bucknell is 15-5 in dual meets since the start of the 2021-22 season.

Scouting American's Women
• American's women improved to 3-2 in duals with a 116-107 win at Howard last weekend. The Eagles also have wins over Mount St. Mary's and Catholic University this season.
• American took seventh at the 2023 Patriot League Championships with 221 points.
• The Eagles returned First Team All-Patriot Leaguer Mimi Watts, who earned 2023 Swimmer of the Meet accolades.
• Bucknell is 17-1 all-time against American, dating back to 1985. The Bison have won 16 in a row over the Eagles, including a 224-74 win last year.

• American's men are 1-4 in dual meets this season. Most recently, the men fell 130-88 on the road at Howard last weekend. American's lone win was over Catholic University on Oct, 7.
• American placed seventh at the 2023 Patriot League Championships with 148.5 points.
• The Eagles returned no All-League honorees this season.
• Bucknell is 15-2 all-time against American's men since the first meeting in 2003. Bucknell has won all 15 in a row, including a 240.5-45.5 victory last season.

• The Lafayette women's team is 0-2 to begin the season with losses to Loyola and Colgate.
• Lafayette finished 10th at the 2023 Patriot League Championships with 81 points.
• Lafayette returned no All-Patriot League honorees and brought back 28 of 40 letterwinners this season.
• The Bison women are 40-2 all-time against Lafayette and have won 15 in a row. The series began in 1978, and Bucknell posted a dominant 252-48 win in the most recent matchup a year ago.

• The Leopards' men's team is 1-1, posting a loss in the opener at Loyola and a 199-99 victory at home over Colgate at home last weekend.
• The Leopards placed eighth at the 2023 Patriot League Championships with 132 points.
• The Lafayette men's team returned no All-Patriot League honorees and brought back 15 of 24 letterwinners from a year ago.
