Bucknell Women at a Glance
• Bucknell's women's team opened the season 1-1 last weekend with a 201-99 win at Holy Cross and a 157-143 loss at Boston U.
• The Bison won 14 of 16 events against the Crusaders, including both relays. Rylie Giles captured two individuals at the meet, touching the wall first in both the 100 freestyle and the 200 butterfly. Two first years, Kelly Byrne and Sydney Dettmann, also captured individual wins.
• On Saturday at Boston, the Bison won six individual events and went 1-2-3 in the 100 breaststroke. Rookie Kate Handley won the 100 breaststroke, and Rylie Giles added a third individual win in the 200 freestyle. The Bison were trailing by just five points heading into the final event, but the Terriers captured first and third place in the 400 freestyle relay to seal the victory.
• Bucknell returned three All-Patriot League honorees this season: Abby Doss (2023 2nd Team, 2022 1st Team), Esme Hunter (2022 & 2023 2nd Team), Caroline McGann (2023 2nd Team).
• The Bison lost three-time All-Patriot League honoree and six-time Patriot League medalist Sabrina Vumbacco as well as three-time All-Patriot League honoree and one-time Patriot League medalist Catherine Craig to graduation last spring.
• Doss is Bucknell's lone school record holder on the roster. She set the 200 breaststroke standard at the 2021 Bucknell Invite.
• Bucknell finished the 2022-23 season 6-2 (5-2 PL) and placed third at the Patriot League Championships with 503 points. The Bison went on to take second at the ECAC Championships, and diver Meghan Catherwood competed at the 2023 NCAA Zone Diving Championships.
• Bucknell is 36-6 in dual meets since the start of the 2018-19 campaign.
• Seniors Hunter, Kayla Lichtner and Grace Kujawski are serving as team captains this season.
• Bucknell welcomed nine newcomers to the roster this season.

• Bucknell's men are 2-0 (2-0 PL) to begin the season following a 186-112 win at Holy Cross and a 173.5-124.5 victory at Boston U. last weekend. It's the third consecutive season the Bison have started 2-0.
• The Bison won 11 of 16 events at Holy Cross and 10 of 16 events at Boston U. Bucknell went 1-2-3 in the 100 freestyle at Holy Cross and in the 500 freestyle at Boston U.
• Bucknell senior John Gehrig was named Patriot League Male Swimmer of the Week and sophomore Jackson Vinarub was named Patriot League Male Diver of the Week for their efforts in the two wins. Gehrig won five individual races and was a member of two winning relays during the weekend. Vinarub posted three wins, including one on each board during the Boston meet. Vinarub's 289.65 on the 1-meter board at Boston ranks third in program history.

• Binghamton's women's team went 3-6 in 2022-23, capturing wins over Canisius, St. Bonaventure and Marist. The Bearcats placed fifth at the 2023 America East Conference Championships.
• Binghamton's men's team posted a 6-2 mark in 2022-23, suffering its only losses to Bucknell and Cornell. The men placed second at the America East Championships.
• Bucknell's women's team is 6-0 all-time against the Bearcats since the series began in 2013. The Bison women defeated Binghamton in New York 190-105 last October.
• Bucknell's men are 6-0 all-time against the Bearcats since the series began in 2003. The Bison defeated Binghamton 173-127 in New York last October.
Scouting Seton Hall
• Seton Hall's men's and women's teams both opened the season with wins at Rider on Oct. 7.
• Seton Hall's women's team went 2-7 (0-2 Big East) last season. The Pirates posted wins over Rider and Monmouth, and they suffered losses to Patriot League teams Army and Lehigh. The women finished fifth at the 2023 Big East Championships.
• Seton Hall's men's team finished the 2022-23 season 7-2 (1-0 Big East). Its only losses were to Army and Delaware. The Pirates went on to finish third at the Big East Championships.
• Bucknell's women's team is 4-0 all-time against Seton Hall dating back to 1987. The Bison last faced the Pirates in 2016.
• Bucknell's men's team is 2-1 in meetings with Seton Hall dating back to 1994. The Bison last faced Seton Hall in a dual meet in 2017.
