Bucknell at a Glance
• The Bison open Patriot League play with a trip to Boston U. on Saturday. The Bison are 5-6 against league teams during the regular season under head coach Tammy Cecchini.
• Bucknell is 2-2 in dual matches this season after falling to Rutgers in the team's spring opener last weekend. The Bison also participated in the Bucknell Invitational, the West Point Invitational and the Loyola Invitational in the fall.
• Bucknell went 12-10 (3-3 PL) during the 2021-22 season, securing its highest win total since 2018-19. The Bison ended up falling to Loyola in the quarterfinal round of the Patriot League Championships, 4-2.
• The Bison graduated their lone All-Patriot Leaguer, Daniela Bellini, in the spring. They welcomed two freshmen in the fall and enter the spring season with eight total on the roster.
• Juniors Kate Novak and Tyne Miller are serving as team captains this season.
• Sophomore Anna Lajos led the Bison with an 8-4 singles record in the fall, including a 2-1 mark in duals.
• Bucknell plays its first seven matches of the spring on the road before hosting its first home match on Feb. 19.
• Bucknell is under the direction of fourth-year head coach Tammy Cecchini who owns a 25-20 record during her time in Lewisburg.
• Cecchini was previously the head coach at Valparaiso from 2015 to 2018; she spent the 2014-15 season with Valpo as an assistant coach.

Boston U. at a Glance
• The Terriers are 1-1 in dual matches this season after winning 5-2 over Cornell and falling 6-1 to Syracuse last weekend. This will also be Boston's first Patriot League match of the season.
• The Terriers went 14-8 (5-0 PL) last season and reached the Patriot League championship finals before falling 4-1 to Army.
• Boston returned all three of its All-Patriot League honorees from last season: Victoria Carlsten (1st Team), Kaitlin Tan (1st Team), Erica Di Battista (2nd Team).
• Sophomore Michelle Kleynerman currently leads the Terriers in singles wins at 10-5 on the season. She is also part of Boston's top doubles team, joining Di Battista with five wins.
• Bucknell last faced Boston in the semifinal round of the 2021 Patriot League Championships. The top-seeded Terriers defeated the Bison 4-0.
