Bucknell Women's Cross Country Heads to Siena Invite on Saturday

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell University women's cross country team hits the road this weekend when it travels to Loundonville, N.Y. for the Siena Invite.

- The Bison, coming off a victory against Patriot League competition on Friday evening on its home course, are set to run in the state of New York for the first time since September 7, 2019 when the squad competed at the Harry Lang Invite hosted by Colgate.
- Bucknell posted a solid opening meet, winning the Bison Open with 21 points to edge out Lafayette (57), American (68), and Loyola (Md.) (102)
- Bucknell posted the top three finishers at the meet, with Abby Paczewski taking the top honors in a time of 14:15.4. Paczewski was followed by first-year Caryn Rippey and Ally Clarke, with the front three separated by just over two seconds.
- Rippey was named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week for her efforts, the first Bison to earn the distinction since teammate Lauren Trapani earned the award twice in the 2021 season.
- Bucknell overall placed six on the top ten, with Keeley Misutka, Laura Sakol, and Asta Rustad also earning a top-ten finish.
- The Crossings of Colonie course, the home course of Siena cross country, will host the MAAC Championships on October 29.
- After the Siena Invite, the Bison will take a week off before returning to compete at the Boston College Invite on Friday, September 23.
