About Bucknell
• The Bucknell women's track & field team is in its final week of competition before the 2022 Outdoor Patriot League Championships on Friday, May 6 and Saturday, May 7. The Bison will take part in both the Penn Relays and the Maroon & Gold Invite at Bloomsburg this week. This will be Bucknell's first time back at the Penn Relays since 2019 after it was canceled the last two years due to the pandemic. This is the 126th running of the Penn Relays.
• The Bison are coming off another outstanding weekend in which they took first of 10 at the Bucknell Team Challenge. The Bison saw several all-time top 10 performances as well as a host of first-place finishes.
• Posting the best weekend for Bucknell was senior Michaela Bracken, who won the 400 hurdles and took second in the high jump. Bracken's 1:00.98 in the hurdles ranks third in school history, and her 5-7 high jump mark ranks second. She was named Bison of the Week for a second time this year.
• Joining Bracken with a 5-7 in the high jump was Karen Hull. The sophomore won the 100 hurdles as well.
• Jessie Castellano took first in the 400 and became the second junior this season to enter the all-time top 10 list, ranking seventh with a 56.45.
• Winning the 800 was senior Karly Forker, whose 2:10.34 ranks sixth on Bucknell's top 10 performances list. Mackenzie Turner and Anna Posh took second and fourth in the 800, respectively.
• Junior Mia Bellucci now ranks ninth in the Bucknell record book for the 3000, running a 9:59.01 to take first at the meet.
• Siobhan O'Sullivan moved up the all-time top 10 list in the shot put after winning the event with a 45-8.
• Bucknell's 4x100 team (Bridget Lalonde, Meghan Quinn, Gianna Macones, Karen Hull) broke 47 seconds for a second straight weekend, winning the event with a 46.94. The group ran the second-fastest time in school history the week before at the Bison Outdoor Classic.
• Bucknell's all-junior 4x400 relay team (Jessie Castellano, Mackenzie Turner, Mikayla Horvath, Bridget Lalonde) ran the sixth-fastest time (3:47.91) in program history earlier this season at the Colonial Relays.
