Blake Wisdom Named Patriot League Golfer of the Week

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell junior Blake Wisdom earned his second Patriot League Golfer of the Week citation of the season on Wednesday, two days after he completed a runner-up finish at the ABARTA Coca-Cola Collegiate Challenge at Steel Club in Hellertown, Pa.
Wisdom closed out the tournament with a 5-under 67, and he finished alone in second place with a 4-under total of 140 over 36 holes. He was the top finisher among the 43 Patriot League players in the field and second among 108 overall. Wisdom's 67 is the best score on the team all season, it was one shy of his personal best, and it was one shy of the low 18 in relation to par in team history.
Wisdom made six birdies in his final round and nine in the 36-hole tournament. He helped the Bison shoot 3-under as a team in the final round and finish in third place, just one shot off the lead.
Wisdom is enjoying a terrific spring, posting a team-best 72.3 average in four events. He has broken par in four of his 10 rounds, and including the fall season he has four top-10 finishes in 2021-22.
Wisdom also earned Patriot League Golfer of the Week honors on Feb. 9 after shooting 74-71-71 in a ninth-place finish at the Veterans Intercollegiate. As a team, Bucknell has claimed the Patriot League weekly honoree after each of its four spring tournaments. Jason Lohwater picked up the award after both the Loyola Intercollegiate and the Battle at Rum Pointe.
Bucknell is back in action on Apr. 18-19 at the Wildcat Invitational, then the Bison return to Steel Club for the Patriot League Championship Apr. 29-May 1.
