Bucknell at a Glance
- Bucknell is looking to bounce back from a couple of losses to quality teams in Army and No. 68 Cornell last weekend. The Army match was tight throughout, with the Black Knights pulling out a couple of three-setters at the bottom of the lineup in the 4-2 final.
- Harrison Gold at No. 1 and Tim Zelikovsky at No. 4 were victorious against Army, and Nick Mueller at No. 2 was even in the third set when the match was clinched.
- Zelikovsky bounced back nicely after missing the four Spring Break matches in Florida. The singles win over Army's Thomas Lake was his seventh in a row. Zelikovsky led Cornell's Sam Paquette 6-5 in the first set when the Big Red clinched that decision, so Zelikovsky will take that winning streak into Sunday's match at Howard.
- Zelikovsky is now a team-best 14-7 overall and 8-4 in duals in singles. He is 7-1 since moving to the No. 4 spot in the lineup, with his last loss coming all the way back on Feb. 6 at Drexel.
- Zelikovsky also has a winning record in doubles, going 10-8 overall and 6-5 in duals. He is 5-3 when paired with Gold at No. 1 doubles, and Gold is 8-4 overall playing with Zelikovsky and Charlie Nordahl.
- The Griffins are 3-2 on the season and 2-0 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference after posting back-to-back league wins over Dominican and the University of the Sciences. Chestnut Hill will host Jefferson in another CACC match on Friday before taking on Bucknell on Sunday.
- Chestnut Hill has played one other Division I program this spring, falling 4-3 at Loyola of the Patriot League on March 15.
- Chestnut Hill has appeared in the last eight CACC Tournament finals. Last season, the Griffins lost to Concordia 4-0 in the title match.
- After Sunday's match, Bucknell's next two contests will come against Patriot League rivals at home. The Bison host Colgate on Friday, Apr. 1, and Boston University on Sunday, Apr. 3.
