LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell men's track & field completed its final regular season meet on Friday and posted strong finishes in several events, including a top 10 all-time mark in the weight throw from Robert Feeney.
"Overall, we got exactly what we were looking for tonight. We were able to rest many of our athletes, and others looked very good. Some people put the coaches in a tough position where we have to make tough decisions with our 32-person lineup for next week, and that's exactly what we wanted," said head coach Kevin Donner.
Feeney placed second in the weight throw and made his mark in the Bucknell record books. The sophomore posted a 57-10.25 to land eighth on the all-time top 10 list. Also in the field, Franco Perinotti placed in the pole vault (15-03.00), Jaden Rouse won the triple jump (43-01.50), and Anthony Zamarra grabbed a win in the shot put (54-08.00), making for a successful Bucknell Tune Up.
Bucknell's Cameron Sloan earned an IC4A qualifier in the 200 as well with a 22.50, placing third overall at the meet. Quinn McCutcheon placed second in the mile with a personal-best 4:24.18.
The Bison also grabbed a second-place finish in the 60m hurdles behind the effort of Kameron Schreffler, who posted a career-best 8.48.
Up next, Bucknell hosts the 2022 Patriot League Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Gerhard Fieldhouse on Saturday, Feb. 26 and Sunday, Feb. 27. Both days of the meet will be broadcast on ESPN+.
