Bison Swimmers Compete at the U.S. Open
• The Bucknell men's and women's swimming & diving teams have five athletes competing at the 2022 U.S. Open in Greensboro, N.C. this week. It's Bucknell's first time sending athletes to the meet since 2019.
• The U.S. Open is held in the 50-meter-long course format, which is the same format as the Oylmpics and other major international meets. The event is being held at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.
• The last time Bucknell swimmers attended the U.S. Open in 2019, Catherine Craig competed in the 100-meter breaststroke (1:15.33) and 200-meter breaststroke (2:42.70). Maggie Wyngowski '21 swam the 200-meter IM (2:21.21) and 400-meter IM (4:59.50).
• Some of the top collegiate swimmers as well as elite Olympic and World athletes will also be in attendance.
Bison U.S. Open Results
• Bucknell sophomore Chris Kopac was first in the water for the Bison on Thursday, recording a 4:10.90 in the 400 freestyle to place 40th. Kopac will compete again on Friday in the 100 breaststroke.
