Women's Swim & Dive Takes First Place at 2022 Bucknell Invitational

Lewisburg, Pa. – The Bison women's swim & dive team continued to excel at the Bucknell Invitational on Sunday and finished with 1,312 points to earn first place at the three-day event. The Bison, which led throughout the weekend, edged second-place Fordham (1,151.5) along with the rest of the eight-team field.

The Bison captured two more runner-up finishes on Sunday, giving them five on the weekend. Notably, Bucknell's second-place 400 freestyle relay team (Jennifer Bolden, Sophia Donati, Kayla Lichtner, Esme Hunter) posted the third-fastest time in program history with a 3:23.70.
Jennifer Bolden also moved to fifth on the program's top-10 list in the 100 freestyle, clocking a 50.90 to finish third at the meet.
Sabrina Vumbacco was Bucknell's other runner-up on Sunday as she swam the 1650 freestyle in 17:00.31. It was Vumbacco's third runner-up finish of the weekend. She was joined in the event by freshman Claire Kehley, whose 17:07.88 was good enough for sixth at the invitational and placed her 10th on the program's top-10 list.
While Bucknell did not have an event champion over the weekend, it saw nine top-3 finishes and 28 top-8 finishes overall.
