Volleyball Wraps Up Regular Season Action Sunday at Navy

About Bucknell

The Bison face Navy in the regular-season finale in Annapolis, Md. on Sunday. The Mids are locked in at the No. 3 seed for the upcoming Patriot League Tournament, and Bucknell will be playing as the No. 5 seed. Bucknell plays at fourth-seeded Loyola on Tuesday, Nov. 15 in the quarterfinal round. Bucknell will be competing in its first Patriot League Championship since 2010.
Bucknell is coming off two straight wins, defeating both American and Loyola 3-1 last weekend to clinch the playoff berth. The win over American gave Bucknell its second series sweep of the season.
A victory on Sunday would give Bucknell its highest win total (15) since the 2006 season. It would also give the team eight Patriot League wins for the first time since 2017, which was two years prior to the league's move to a six-team tournament field.
Tijana Kostic is coming off a breakout weekend in which she totaled 25 kills and 11 block assists to help Bucknell go 2-0. For her efforts, Kostic was named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week. It's the fifth time a Bucknell freshman has earned the award this fall. Kostic's nine block assists against Loyola were one shy of the program's single-match record.
Also nearing a program record is sophomore libero Jordan Hardy, whose 544 digs are second-most by a Bison for a single season and 68 shy of the record. Hardy ranks fourth in the country with 5.73 digs per set.
Outside hitters Catherine Jamison and Bri Frazilus have each been among the Patriot League leaders in kills this season. Jamison is fifth in the league with 3.29 kills per set, while Frazilus ranks sixth with 3.24 kills per set. Frazilus has earned PL Rookie of the Week honors four times.
Another member of the freshman class, setter Caleigh O'Connoll, is seventh in the league with 5.43 assists per set. She reached 40 assists for a second time this season in last weekend's win over American.
Head coach Tyler Hagstrom is in his third season with the program and has a 22-31 overall record. He's joined by second-year assistant Jeremy Young.

Scouting Navy/Series History

The Mids, which have secured the No. 3 seed in the Patriot League Tournament, are 14-10 overall and 11-4 in league play. They're coming off a 3-0 sweep against Lafayette and a 3-2 win at Lehigh last weekend.
Navy's Maggie Bodman is second in the Patriot League with a season hitting percentage of .332. The former Patriot League Rookie of the Year was a Second Team All-League selection last season and is also currently fifth in the league with 1.04 blocks per set.
Twin sisters Jordan and Jamie Llewellyn both rank among the top seven in the Patriot League with 3.41 and 3.20 kills per set, respectively.
Navy is guided by head coach Paco Labrador, who is 71-46 in five seasons with the Midshipmen.
Bucknell is 22-38 in all-time meetings with Navy. The Mids have won 12 in a row in the series, dating back to 2015.
Bucknell took Navy five sets (11-25, 32-30, 25-12, 15-25, 19-21) in a back-and-forth match on Oct. 9. Catherine Jamison led the Bison with 16 kills, and Jordan Hardy registered 29 digs.
