Rowing Team Continues Fall Progress in Scrimmage vs. Columbia

SHAMOKIN DAM, Pa. -- Competing in its third home dual race of the fall, the Bison rowing squad continued to show improvement in a scrimmage against Columbia on Saturday on the Susquehanna River.
With three boats consisting of balanced lineups racing a long 6,000-meter course, the Bison entries combined for a time of 64:53. That is just under a one-minute improvement from last week's time against Lehigh, and better than two minutes faster than in the season-opener against Georgetown on Sept. 24.
The Bison crews posted balanced times of 21:35, 21:38, and 21:40 against the Lions.
Bucknell will finish out the fall racing season with a series of 1,000-meter sprints against Villanova on Nov. 5.
