WORCESTER, Mass. – The Bucknell volleyball team raced to a 25-14 win in the opening set at Holy Cross on Friday, but the Crusaders went on to win each of the next three to send the Bison to 5-7 in Patriot League play.

The second set was back and forth and the Bison led at 12-11, but a 6-0 Crusaders run put Bucknell in a hole that it was never able to climb out of. Holy Cross also captured the last four points in a row to win the second 25-17 and even the match at 1-1.
The Bison struggled to just a .087 hitting percentage in the third after dropping the first three points. Bucknell never led, and Holy Cross went on to win the third 25-20.
The Crusaders led throughout the fourth set as well. They jumped out to a commanding 14-7 lead, which gave them enough cushion to overcome a 4-0 Bison run that made it 16-12. Bucknell went on to lose the set 25-20.
Bucknell libero Jordan Hardy finished the match with 22 digs, and freshman libero Caleigh O'Connell posted 22 assists. O'Connell, along with Valentina Feigl, joined Frazilus with three block assists each.
