Bison Women's Swimming & Diving Team Downs Binghamton, 190-105

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. – The Bucknell women's swimming & diving team improved to 3-0 (2-0 PL) on the young season with a dominant 190-105 win at Binghamton on Saturday. Bucknell went 1-2-3 in four events, had 12 individual event winners, captured a victory in the 200 medley relay and saw nine more runners-up finishes in dual action against the Bearcats.
Final Results
Alexandra Ritorto was part of three event wins, including individual victories in the 100 freestyle and 100 breaststroke. Megan Leyden (50 freestyle & 200 medley relay) and Esme Hunter (100 backstroke & 200 medley relay) both captured two event wins.
Sabrina Vumbacco (100 butterfly), Sophia Donati (200 freestyle), Liz Dokina (200 breaststroke), Skye Sunderhauf (200 butterfly), Emma Feld (500 freestyle), Claire Kehley (1000 freestyle) all captured individual swimming wins as well.
The Bison took first in both dives with Gina Hinthorn (1-meter dive) and Meghan Catherwood (3-meter dive) picking up wins.
Bucknell placed second in nine more events to score its highest point total this season. Bucknell claimed the top three spots in the 50 freestyle, the 200 freestyle, the 200 butterfly and the 3-meter dive.
Bucknell is off next weekend before returning to competition on Saturday, Nov. 5.
