Bucknell Women's Cross Country Preps for Final Tune-Up Before Patriot League Championships on Friday

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell University women's cross country team is set for its final preparation on its home course this Friday at 5:15 p.m.
- The Bison will host a combined race for the men and the women on Friday due to darkness.
- Bucknell returns to its home course for the first time since opening the season on Friday, September 2.
- The race on Friday will be a preview of the upcoming Patriot League Championships set for Saturday, October 29 in Lewisburg.
- The Bison return after a successful weekend at two different meets. Bucknell sent runners to both the Penn State National Open and the ECAC/IC4A Championships last weekend, placing 13th of 18 and 24th of 34, respectively.
- At Penn State, the Bison received an impressive performance from Keeley Misutka, who became the fourth different Bison to lead a race this season.
- Misutka finished 56th overall in the field of 169, and was joined in the top 75 runners by Abby Paczewski (61st) and Mia Bellucci (64th) as runners in the top 75. Ally Clarke and Caryn Rippey also served as scoring runners for the Bison.
- In New York at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, Lauren Trapani made her return to the ranks, coming in at 49th overall after missing a significant amount of time. She was joined as scoring runners at the ECAC Championships by Hollie Walters, Lauren Joyce, Meghan Smith, and Meredith Haberfield.
- Paczewski was the top finisher the last time the Bison competed in Lewisburg. The junior crossed the line just ahead of two other Bison in helping Bucknell earn the team title that day over Lafayette, American, and Loyola (Md.). Paczewski was followed closely behind by Rippey and Ally Clarke in a 1-2-3 finish for the Bison that day.
- After Friday's meet, the Bison will have just over a week to prepare for the Patriot League Championships, the first time Bucknell has hosted the meet since 2018.
