HAMILTON, N.Y. – Isabella Pavlides scored two goals, and three other Bison found the back of the cage to power the Bucknell field hockey team to a 5-3 win at Colgate on Saturday. It was a season high in goals scored for Bucknell (4-6, 3-0 PL), which remained unbeaten in Patriot League play with the victory.
The two teams took turns striking as the game featured three lead changes. The Bison held big advantages in both shots (20-12) and penalty corners (7-3). Joining Pavlides with goals were Lily Neilson, who scored her league-leading 10th of the season, Kayla Kisthardt and Maddie Rehak.
Pavlides also posted an assist, giving her five points in the game. Mackenzie Kile registered two assists.
It took the Bison just two minutes to get on the board in the opening quarter as Pavlides scored on the rebound from an initial save by the Colgate keeper. Just 44 seconds later, however, the Raiders responded after a takeaway at their end of the field and a one-on-one situation that drew goalkeeper Clara McCormick out of the cage. Colgate tied the game at 1-1 with just 2:46 gone in the opening quarter.
Colgate struck against in the 10th minute after being award a penalty stroke. Colgate's Ella Murphy shot to the top-left corner of the cage to give the Raiders a 2-1 lead that would last until early in the second.
In the 18th minute of the contest, Neilson fired a rocket from the top of the circle on a penalty corner to tie the game. The sophomore now has 25 goals in her career, which is tied for 10th all-time in the Bucknell record books.

Kisthardt scored the go-ahead goal less than five minutes later, sneaking one in following a scrum in front of the cage after a Bison penalty corner. It was Kisthardt's second of the season, and the 3-2 advantage would last until halftime.
Just over four minutes into the third quarter, Rehak gave Bucknell its largest lead of the game with her first goal of the season and the seventh of her career. Guarente carried the ball into the circle, centered it to Kile in front of the cage, and Kile passed it wide to Rehak who was left alone on the near side. Kile, who now has 27 assists in her career, moved to fourth all-time in the record book.
Colgate drew within one of tying with a goal in the 40th minute on a deflection that squeaked by McCormick to make it 4-3.
Pavlides scored her second of the game in the 49th minute on the rebound from a Reanne Burgess shot. The sophomore now ranks second on the team with 10 points this season.
