Bucknell Women at a Glance
• Bucknell is currently 5-1 (4-1 PL) in 2021-22. The team's dual meet at Johns Hopkins will be its first since Nov. 6.Â
• The Bison posted a 3-0 (3-0 PL) record during the spring of 2021, stretching their winning streak in dual meets to eight.
• Dating back to the 2018-19 campaign, Bucknell has posted an incredible 26-3 (20-3 PL) record in dual meets; all three of the Bison's losses came to reigning Patriot League champion Navy.
• Bucknell wrapped up its 2019-20 dual meet schedule with a sterling 10-1 (7-1 PL) record. With their rivalry win over Lehigh, the Bison reached the double digits in victories during a single season for the sixth time in program history.
• Bucknell placed second at the 2020 Patriot League Championships with 533 points. The Bison, who finished as the Patriot League runners-up for the 12th time in program history and the first time since 2015, were bolstered by eight-medal winning performances.
• Bucknell returned three All-Patriot League honorees: Maddie Hartigan (1st in 2019 & 2020), Catherine Craig (2nd in 2020) and Sabrina Vumbacco (2nd in 2020). Vumbacco was also tabbed as the Rookie of the 2020 Patriot League Championship Meet.
• Hartigan, who was a 2021 Academic All-Patriot League honoree, is one the team's two school record holders. She owns the standards in the 100 freestyle (50.01), 200 freestyle (1:48.10), 500 freestyle (4:46.48) and 1,000 freestyle (9:53.16); she was also a member of the record-setting 200 freestyle (1:33.16) and 800 freestyle (7:18.40) relay teams.
• Abby Doss broke the school record in the 200 breaststroke (2:13.44) during mid-November's Bucknell Invitational.
• The Bison lost Maggie Wyngowski, a three-time All-Patriot League selection who captured three school records and five Patriot League medals, to graduation following the 2021 spring season.
• Bucknell added 12 student-athletes, including seven-time PIAA state champion Doss, to its program ahead of the 2021-22 campaign. The newcomers hail from seven different states and one Canadian province: Connecticut (3), New York (3), Maryland, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia and Ontario.
