Bucknell at a Glance
• The Bison are set to conclude their fall tournament slate at Toledo's Rocket Invite this Friday and Saturday.
• Bucknell went 5-5 (2-3 PL) in the spring of 2021, most notably scoring a 4-2 victory over rival Lehigh in the Patriot League Tournament quarterfinals.
• The Bison posted a 6-3 (0-0 PL) record during their 2019-20 season that was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They won five of their final six matches that season, with two coming by 7-0 margins.
• Bucknell is captained by senior Daniela Bellini, a two-time All-Patriot League selection.
• The Bison lost three student-athletes to graduation following the 2021 spring season, including two-time All-Patriot League performer Cayla Koch.
• Bucknell welcomed three newcomers ahead of the 2021-22 campaign, including one international student-athlete.
• Head coach Tammy Cecchini is in her third season at the helm of the program. Through two abbreviated seasons with the Bison, she has compiled an 11-8 overall record.
• Cecchini was previously the head coach at Valparaiso, which is also set to attend this week's Rocket Invite, from 2015 to 2018; she spent the 2014-15 season with Valpo as an assistant coach.

Bison Excel at Navy's Moore Invitational
• The Bison excelled in their most recent tournament: Navy's Bill & Sandra Moore Invitational, which was held on Sept. 10-12.
• Bucknell won three main draw titles against strong competition, which included Patriot League teams Navy and Lehigh.
• In just their second weekend of collegiate competition, freshmen Whitney King and Anna Lajos won individual titles. King captured the 'B' Courage singles crown while Lajos took first in the C' Commitment singles bracket.
• King also teamed with senior captain Daniela Bellini for a championship at 'A' Honor doubles. In the finals, they defeated Navy's Jillian Taggart, a 2021 All-Patriot League First Team member, and Emily Tannenbaum by a decisive 8-3 margin.
• On the strength of her performance, King was selected as the Bison Athlete of the Week. She became the first women's tennis player to earn this award since the 2015-16 school year; she also became the first to capture these accolades in the fall since 2009.
A Look Ahead
• The Bison return to action by hosting Villanova for their first dual match on Saturday, Jan. 22.
