Mueller Advances to A Singles Final at Binghamton

BINGHAMTON, Pa. -- Nick Mueller will play for the A Singles flight title on Sunday at The Star Group Binghamton Championship. Mueller raced to a 3-0 lead in the first set of Saturday's semifinal match when his opponent, Colgate's Jack Selati, retired due to injury.
Mueller, who is now 8-0 on the season, will face Merrimack's Jan Semerak in the A Flight championship match. Semerak outlasted NJIT's Josh Smith 7-6, 5-7, 10-7 in the other semifinal tilt.
Nicolas Grunig also played in the semifinals on Saturday and got out to a great start against Buffalo's Tom Owen, but Own prevailed 1-6, 6-2 10-5. Grunig will play Colgate's Josh Israel in the third-place match on Sunday.
The final day of the tournament gets started at 9 a.m. on Sunday on the Binghamton campus.
