BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Bucknell men's tennis team placed all nine student-athletes on the 2021 Spring Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, the league announced Monday. It's the second consecutive year that every player on the roster has earned the honor.
To qualify for the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must have achieved a minimum 3.20 GPA during the semester in which their team competed. The 2020-21 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll ranks second in League history with 3,736 honorees. Bucknell led all schools with 524 student-athletes on the academic honor roll.
The men's tennis program achieved a combined 3.67 GPA during the spring semester, and seven members of the roster posted GPAs above 3.5. Additionally, junior Ryan Jurist maintained a perfect 4.0 for the semester.
The team's impressive academic honor roll showing follows last week's announcement that Bucknell was named a 2021 Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic Team, and six men's tennis players earned ITA Scholar-Athlete status.
