Women's Lacrosse Falls at Lehigh

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Bucknell women's lacrosse team fell to Lehigh, 20-7, on Saturday at the Ulrich Sports Complex.
Emma Eberhardt's nine-point (6g-3a) outing powered the Mountain Hawks (4-2, 3-0 PL) past the Bison (1-3, 1-2 PL). For Bucknell, senior Mason Rode netted her first career hat trick while Kali Peeples twice found the back of the net.
Caitlin Tucker led all players with four ground balls and also stopped 10 shots. Ella Payer posted five draw controls while Eva Macris filled the stat sheet with three ground balls and one caused turnover.
For Lehigh, Cecily Redfern added five points (3g-2a), a game-best seven draw controls and team-high three ground balls. Samantha Sagi made five saves while four different Mountain Hawks caused two turnovers.
Lehigh scored 10 goals in each half, carrying a 10-3 into the locker room at the intermission. The Mountain Hawks led in shots (39-17), shots on goal (32-12), and ground balls (20-15). The Bison led in draw controls, 16-13. Turnovers proved costly for Bucknell, as Lehigh forced 21 while only having four of their own.
The Bison next host American on Saturday, April 3 at 4 p.m.
