Karly Forker Named Patriot League Track Athlete of the Week

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Bucknell junior Karly Forker has been named the Patriot League Track and Field Athlete the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Forker posted a solid season debut in finishing fourth in a tough field at the Virginia Opener in the 1500.
Forker posted an ECAC-qualifying time of 4:33.15 to finish behind a trio of Virginia runners. The time for Forker is just off the mark of the tenth spot on Bucknell's all-time list in the event held by Julie Sweitzer (4:33.04).
The native of Landing, New Jersey was an All-East selection in the 1000 during the 2020 Indoor season, and ranks in the Bucknell top ten in four events at Bucknell (10th 800 outdoor, 4th 4x800 outdoor, 8th 1000 indoor, and 2nd 4x800 indoor). The time for Forker ranks first in the Patriot League, and is the 41st-fastest time in Division I this season.
Forker and the rest of the Bison track and field team will host its first home meet on Sunday, March 28 against UMBC and Saint Francis (Pa.).
