About the Bison
• Bucknell concluded its first weekend of the spring season in dramatic fashion, defeating American at home in a back-and-forth five-setter. The win snapped a 48-match losing streak against the Eagles, who have been dominant in the Patriot League for years. The Bison fell in four sets to the Eagles on Friday.
• The win over American was the first of head coach Tyler Hagstrom's career, who joined the program last February.
• Outside hitter Lisa Zoch posted a strong start to her sophomore campaign, leading the Bison with 33 kills over the two matches. Zoch set a new career high with 19 kills in Sunday's win and ranks fourth in the league with 3.67 per set.
• Rookie middle blocker Valentina Feigl was second in kills and led the team with 14 total blocks. For her efforts, Feigl was named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week on Monday. She currently leads the league in blocks per set.
• The rookie class as a whole stepped up big, with Feigl, Allie Lopez and Libby Nieporte combining for 41 of Bucknell's total kills.
• Sophomore setter Kelsey O'Loughlin ranks second in the league in assists per set (9.11). O'Loughlin contributed 47 assists on Sunday and maintains a .350 hitting percentage with nine kills on the season.
• Seniors Delanie Lewis and Anna Carroll chipped in 23 kills, and Lewis supplied the final one in Sunday's win.
• Through two matches, the Bison rank first in the Patriot League with 2.78 blocks per set.
