- Bucknell returns to action after having its trip to California last weekend canceled due to travel issues.
- This will be the second midseason two-week break for the Bison, with Bucknell taking two weeks off between September 26- October 16. Bucknell responded well from the layoff earlier this season, taking two wins out of three in MAWPC games after going 1-1 two weeks prior at Kinney Natatorium against George Washington and Wagner.
- Bucknell will meet the Mount for the first time in program history, after MSM made its program debut last season during the COVID-shortened winter season.
- Bucknell takes on Fordham for the second time this season, after the Rams managed a 13-9 win over the Bison on September 18 at Kinney Natatorium. Jack Lewis led the way in goals for the Bison, scoring three times in the defeat.
- Both Lewis and Josh Yardley have been offensive catalysts for the Bison this season. J. Yardley leads the team in goals this season with 47, and has added four assists. Lewis has chipped in 18 goals, good for fifth on the team, and needs just nine goals to reach 100 for his career.
- Saturday will be Senior Day for the Orange and Blue, where the program will recognize two seniors for their contributions to Bucknell men's water polo in Bence Fazekas and Jack Otto.
- Fazekas has scored five times in his career, adding two assists over that time span. The native of Budapest, Hungary scored earlier this season against Iona on September 4 in a 16-11 win for Bucknell. Fazekas made an appearance against USC in the national quarterfinal in 2019, and scored two goals in a win over La Salle on November 2, 2019.
- Otto has provided a veteran presence in the cage for the Orange and Blue, starting all 29 games in the cage for the Bison as a first-year. Otto made the MAWPC All-Tournament Second Team in helping Bucknell advance to the championship game, and has appeared in 47 games overall for the Orange and Blue in his career with a career save percentage of .475.
- Bucknell is 48-5 in the all-time series against Fordham, and has taken ten of the past 12 meetings. Bucknell had previously won ten in a row in the series dating back to the 2015 season, but the Rams have taken two of the past three meetings. The road team has won each of the past three matchups.
- The two teams have averaged 23 goals per game combined in the past three matchups, including a 17-15 thriller won by the Rams at Kinney Natatorium on September 21, 2019. Andu Vlasceanu netted a hat trick in that game while drawing five ejections, while Otto made six saves in the cage. Colby Paine and Adrien Touzot also added assists in the defeat.
- Fordham's 6-0 record in conference games cements its place at the top of the standings, with George Washington (4-2) and Navy (4-2) both ahead of Bucknell (3-4) in the standings. Bucknell still has to play the Mids one more time this season on Sunday, November 7, before closing the season with games against Johns Hopkins on that same day and at Mount St. Mary's on Sunday November 14.
- Bucknell will then head to Annapolis for the MAWPC Championships, with first-round games being contested on Friday, November 19.
