Cookin' with Coaches Archives:
Episode 1: Dave & Tammy Cecchini (Mexican Wraps)Â
Episode 2: Joe Meehan (Sockeye Salmon)
Episode 3: Joey Lye (Breakfast Sandwiches and Pumpkin Muffins)
LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Our next guest chef in the "Cookin' with Coaches" series, presented by Weis Markets, is track and field associate head coach Richard Alexander. In this weekly series, the premise is simple: we asked some Bucknell coaches to take us into their kitchens and make their favorite meal or dessert. The series is not meant to be a lesson in nutrition, instead we asked the coaches to prepare something that they and their families simply enjoy. In the spirit of social distancing, the videos, just like the food, are all homemade by the coaches. Â
Coach Alexander is a 2003 Bucknell graduate, where he was a two-year captain and a record-setter on the Bison track and field squad. He was runner-up in the 110-meter hurdles at the 2002 Patriot League Championships, and a year later he broke the school record in the indoor 60-meter hurdles. In 2010, Richard returned to Bucknell as an assistant coach, where he currently works with the sprinters and hurdlers. Richard and his wife, former All-Patriot League sprinter Monique Boley Alexander '05, are the parents of two children, Richard III and Ruby, who will be helping out with the meal prep.Â
Follow along and Richard and his expert sous-chefs make country style ribs, cheesy potatoes and broccoli. Bon Appetit! Â
