Bucknell Men's Tennis Set to Host Saint Joseph's at Central PA Tennis Center Saturday

About the Bison
• Bucknell enters its sixth weekend of spring tennis when it hosts the Saint Joseph's Hawks at the Central PA Tennis Center on Saturday. The Bison are 4-5 this spring and 3-2 over their last five matches.
• Junior Marwan Abaza improved to 9-2 in singles over the weekend while playing in the number one spot. Abaza was named the Patriot League Player of the Week for his efforts.
• Freshman Michael Owen also continued his impressive rookie campaign with two more wins last weekend and is now 8-2 in number two singles.
• Bucknell's top doubles tandem, Cooper Bradshaw and Owen, still have not lost since Feb. 8 and sit at 7-1 this season. The pair picked up doubles wins over La Salle, Connecticut, and Marist over the weekend.
• Bradshaw and Guillermo Torres both picked up singles wins last weekend as well.
• Saturday marks the last home match for the Bison until March 29.
Scouting the Opponents
• Saint Joseph's is 4-1 this spring and has won each of its last three matches. The Hawks are 1-1 against Patriot League competition (L, 2-5 at Navy, W, 6-1 vs. Lafayette), and picked up a 4-0 win over Connecticut, who Bucknell also defeated last weekend.
• Bucknell last faced Saint Joseph's in a dual match on Feb. 16, 2019. The Bison won 4-2 in that match.
Up Next
• Bucknell heads to California for five matches during spring break. The Bison will face UC Irvine, UC San Diego, UC Riverside, East Carolina, and San Diego Mesa before returning to Pennsylvania to face Temple on March 15.
