RESULTS
PALM CITY, Fla. -- Chris Tanabe and Jason Lohwater both shot 75 to lead Bucknell to a 306 team score on the final day of the Martin Downs Collegiate, hosted by UNC Greensboro. The Bison finished in 12th place with a 54-hole total of 906.
Tanabe collected four birdies on the day, while Lohwater had a birdie along with an eagle at the par-5 eighth hole. Blake Wisdom closed with a 77 and was Bucknell's low man for the tournament. Wisdom, who opened with a school-record-tying 6-under 66, finished T-38th with a 4-over-par 220.
Peter Bradbeer turned in Bucknell's fourth counting score with a 79.
UNCG repeated as tournament champion with a 41-under total of 823. James Madison was five shots back at 828, while Samford (853), Old Dominion (855) and Elon (856) rounded out the top five.
Zack Swanson of UNCG came from behind to beat teammate Jonathan Brightwell for the individual title. Swanson closed with a 68 to finish at 16-under, one ahead of 18 and 36-hole leader Brightwell. James Madison's George Heath was third at 11-under.
The Bison are back in action Feb. 22-24 at the Loyola Interollegiate at Palm Valley GC in Goodyear, Ariz.
