"It was good to see some high quality competition, and many of our guys performed very well," said Head Coach Kevin Donner. "Once again, I am impressed with Moore-Green, as he ran a fabulous 400 that ranks near our all-time best. Bodisch looked good as well. Chase and McGill ran great in the mile, and Chase is showing that he can double up after anchoring our winning DMR the night before. Rouse is starting to develop as a triple jumper. The meet also gave me some more data to set up our roster for Patriot Leagues."
Moore-Green has now registered a Bucknell top-ten time in three different events this season (60, 200, 400), and his time in the 400 now ranks in a tie for second in the Patriot League with John Finnegan of Navy. Brendan Bodisch also had a solid day in the event, placing seventh overall (49.36), just outside of the Bucknell top ten list.
Owen Chase placed second in the mile (4:15.59), one week after setting a personal-best and qualifying for IC4As in the event at the Sykes & Sabock Challenge. Brendan McGill (4th, 4:16.05) also had a solid day.
Sean Conway led a Bucknell group that featured four runners in the top ten of the 800 in placing sixth (1:55.32). Joining Conway in the top ten in the field of 53 was Robert Dessoye (1:55.79), Dylan LoPresti (9th, 1:56.09), and Brett Zatlin (1:56.12).
Brendan O'Toole (fourth, 8:40.78) had a strong finish in the 3000, while the 4x400 team of Steve Rizio, Brendan Bodisch, Terryl Ferrell, and Sean Conway finished third (3:21.41).
Nicholas Marino was sixth in the pole vault (15-7.75), while Jaden Rouse posted a solid mark in the triple jump in placing 11th (45-0.25), which ranks seventh in the Patriot League.
Bucknell will have one more meet, the Bucknell Tune-Up on Friday, Feb. 21, before the Patriot League Championships from Feb. 29-March 1.
