Women's Tennis to Compete at SJU Invitational this Weekend

About the Bison
• The Bison are set for their fourth tournament of the fall season, which will be the last before the ITA Regionals in late October.
• Freshman Dax Seidlin has advanced to a singles championship in each of the first three tournaments, finishing in first place in B singles at both the Bucknell Invitational and the Navy Invite.
• Another Bison with a singles title under her belt is Daniela Bellini, who won the A singles bracket at Bucknell's first invitational. The sophomore also collected a singles win in the first round of Bucknell's second home invitational.
• Ayuso earned a pair of singles victories at the Navy Invite after winning a D singles title at home in the team's first weekend of action. Ayuso placed third in B singles this past weekend.
• Paige Leavy picked up a pair of singles victories this past weekend before ultimately falling in the B singles title match. Leavy also won her first two singles matchups at Navy.
• Bucknell has performed well in doubles play this season, with Cayla Koch and Seidlin winning the top doubles flight at both Bucknell Invitationals. Meanwhile, Ayuso and Bellini have one second-place finish playing as a tandem.
Scouting the Opponents
• La Salle began its fall season at the Swarthmore Invitational last weekend. The Explorers went 1-16 last season, including a 7-0 loss to the Bison.
• Saint Francis was 3-17 last spring, which included a 5-2 loss to the Bison. The Red Flash picked up a C singles title at Bucknell's season-opening tournament this fall.
• Saint Joseph's was 3-19 last spring, falling to the Bison 6-1 in the second match of the season. The team earned three singles wins and a doubles victory at the Towson Classic last weekend.
• Villanova was 11-11 in the spring, and was in attendance at the Bucknell Fall Invite last weekend. The Wildcats captured three singles titles and a doubles victory at the invitational.
• Bucknell will have a few weeks off before attending the ITA Regionals in Blacksburg, Va. Oct. 25-29.
