Men's Cross Country Set for Panorama Farms Invitational

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell University men's cross country team will look to prove itself against a tough field at the Panorama Farms Invite hosted by the University of Virginia on Friday morning.

"I look at this meet as the start of the 2019 season," said Head Coach Kevin Donner. "It's the first meet that we are putting all of our top guys together in the same race, and we are excited to see how we stack up with some of the traditional powers. It's still early with lots of work to be done, but this will give us a solid gauge on where we are at."

About the Bison

Bucknell placed four runners in the top 40 in the field of 373. Junior Riley Gardner posted the fastest time for Bucknell, finishing in 13^th (25:52.5).
Ben Littman also placed in the top 20, taking 18^th (25:57.9) Ryan Miele and Noah Martin also took top 40 finishes.
Other Bison who finished in the top 100 included seniors James Weissenborn (51st, 26:38.3), Matthew Vira (55th, 26:46.3) and Terryl Ferrell (60th, 26:51.6) and sophomores Quenton Long (73rd, 27:01.3), Thomas Matsumura (75th, 27:03.4) and Matt Cervon (87th, 27:10.9).
Bucknell finished third as a team at the meet on 140 points out of the field of 37 teams.
Bucknell finished in seventh at the 2017 edition of the Panorama Farms Invite, with Connor McMenamin (33^rd), Brian Dengler (43^rd), both placing in the top 50 in that meet.
The Bison were narrowly edged by Clemson for sixth, finishing seven points behind the Tigers in a loaded field.
