Jacobs Voted First Team All-Patriot League in Men's Tennis

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell freshman Ethan Jacobs was voted First Team All-Patriot League by the conference's head coaches, as released by the league office on Friday. He is the first Bison freshman to earn First Team recognition since Nick Bybel in 2013.
Jacobs played the entire spring season on court one and posted a 13-9 record. He went 4-3 in Patriot League matches, including a victory over Lehigh's Harry Wang, a two-time Second Team All-Patriot League player. The rookie went 18-10 overall, including the fall season. He began his collegiate career with four straight singles wins while capturing the Flight 1 title at the Bucknell Fall Invite.
Jacobs posted a 13-13 record in doubles during the fall and spring seasons combined. He and fellow freshman Cooper Bradshaw made a formidable doubles team, going 9-3 in spring duals. They were 6-3 against Patriot League opponents.
Bucknell went 12-13 overall and earned the four seed in the Patriot League Tournament with a 5-3 record against conference opponents. The Bison, who return four starters from their singles lineup, won five of their final six regular season matches.
