LEWISBURG, Pa. – Jenna Famer earned her second academic award this season after garnering Google Cloud Academic All-District honors, as announced by CoSIDA on Tuesday afternoon.
Farmer enjoyed a strong senior season. The native of Lewisburg placed second at the Patriot League Outdoor Championships in the 10k, which was her highest-ever finish in an individual event at the outdoor meet. Farmer has also earned gold medals as part of two 4x800 squads, and has earned a spot on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll in each of her seasons at Bucknell.
She was an ECAC Champion in the 3k, and was also a key member of the school-record-breaking distance medley relay (11:38.54). Farmer will end her career in the Orange and Blue with the sixth-fastest time in school history in both the 3k and the 5k.
Administered by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), the Google Cloud Academic All-America program includes sport-specific teams in football, men's and women's soccer, women's volleyball, men's and women's basketball, baseball, softball and men's and women's cross country/track and field. Student-athletes in all other sports are considered for the "at-large" team. In order to qualify, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.30 cumulative GPA and be a starter or key reserve on his/her team.
