Salisbury Tabbed as Patriot League Track Athlete of the Week

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell junior Kaitlin Salisbury has been named the Patriot League Track Athlete of the Week after running an 11.61 in the 100-meter dash on Saturday at the Maroon and Gold Invitational.

Salisbury's time of 11.61 is the top time in the Patriot League, and would normally be a school-record at Bucknell, but due to a wind of 5.4 during the heat, the time will not be counted in Bucknell's record books, which has a wind standard of 4.0 or less.

Salisbury's win in the 100 marks her third consecutive meet in which she has won the event.   She owns the top time in school history at 11.84, and has run under 12 seconds twice this season.   The Hawthorne, N.J. native is the defending Patriot League Champion in the 60, and finished fourth at the Patriot League Outdoor Championships in the 100 last season.

Salisbury and the rest of the Bucknell squad will head to Worcester, Mass. for the Patriot League Championships on May 3-4.
