No. 14 Navy Rolls Past Women's Lacrosse

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – No. 14 Navy rolled to a 17-4 victory over the Bucknell women's lacrosse team on Saturday at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.
The Mids (7-2, 2-0 Patriot League) remained unbeaten against the Bison (3-7, 1-1 Patriot League) in 12 all-time meetings, opening the game with a 5-0 run and then stringing together a 10-0 run from the first half's 15:21 mark to the second half's 11:25 mark. Five different Navy players enjoyed multi-goal outings, led by Kelly Larkin (4) and Moriah Snyder (3).
Bucknell had four different goal scorers: Sarah Monteleone, Faith Reilly, Morgan Steinhacker and Tegan Warren. Reilly's goal was the first of her collegiate career.
Jamisen DeWitt made 15 saves, matching her season high set on Thursday in the Bison's double overtime victory over UMBC. Jessie Britton collected a team-best three ground balls and was one of six Bison to cause a turnover.
The Mids held advantages in shots (47-17), shots on goal (32-8), draw controls (19-1) and ground balls (17-14). Reagan Roelofs (9) and Annalise Heyward (5) accounted for 14 of Navy's controls while Marie Valenti led all players with four ground balls.
The Mids have won the past two Patriot League Tournament titles. A year ago, they advanced to the NCAA quarterfinals, where they were edged by defending champion Maryland, 17-15. In 2017, they became the first Patriot League program to advance to the NCAA Final Four. They have gone 43-11 over the past three campaigns.
Bucknell next hosts Lafayette on Wednesday, March 27 at 7 p.m. before traveling to Colgate for a 1 p.m. tilt on Saturday, March 30.
