Baseball Opens Conference Play at Navy This Weekend

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell University baseball team will begin its conference slate on Saturday through Sunday with a four-game series at Navy, picked second in the Patriot League Preseason Poll.
The Bison are 4-10 this season following a 1-4 trip in Florida for Spring Break.

- Bucknell will look to get Patriot League play started on the right foot after a 4-10 beginning to the season in nonconference play.
- Bucknell opened up its conference play last season against Navy, a 10-2 win for the Bison in game one.
- The Bison have won their opening game in conference play in each of the last three seasons, and have gone on to take three out of four in two of those series. Navy took three out of four from the Bison in last year's opening four-game series.
- Bucknell won its opening game in Florida, 8-7, over Toledo before dropping its next four games to close out the trip.

- Dominic Toso finished 2-for-3 with an RBI, while Luke Hartman went 1-for-2 with two RBIs.
- The last time Bucknell played four games in Annapolis was in the 2017 season, in which it won the first game before dropping the next three to the Mids.
- However, the Bison rebounded from that series to take two games in a row from Navy in the Patriot League semifinals to advance to the Patriot League Championship Series.
- The last time Bucknell finished a season series with an edge on the Mids was in the 2014 season in which it went 6-0 against Navy in the regular season and postseason combined.
