ORLANDO, Fla. – Bucknell women's tennis saw its record go to an impressive 9-2 on the season as it split a pair of matches Wednesday in Orlando. The Bison opened the day with a 5-2 loss Northern Illinois, but bounced back with a 6-0 win over Howard.
"We played well against Northern Illinois; we just didn't match the intensity of our opponents. They played smart in windy conditions and we were a little impatient," Bucknell head coach Rebecca Helt said. "Against Howard we played with a lot more positive energy which allowed us to play more loose and confident."
The Bison conclude their trip to Florida with a match against Western Carolina on Friday at 1 p.m.
Bucknell 6, Howard 0
